The thread winding design has often been used in costumes for Noh, a traditional Japanese theater.

Long thread winding is said to symbolize longevity and celebration. 

The thread winding pattern itself is a refined and beautiful design, and I think that by creating a monochrome pattern, it has become an even more calm, beautiful, and refined design.
