 この模様は、「井筒紋」と呼ばれる家紋のひとつをもとにしています。

井筒とは、井戸の地上部分に設けられた木枠のこと。井戸は、古くから神聖な場所とされ、水の湧くところには神が宿るとも信じられてきました。 

井戸はまた、日々の暮らしを支える大切な存在でもあり、「井」の字は人の名前や地名にも多く使われてきました。

そんな生活の根をなす場所や、その木枠までもが家紋として意匠化されてきたことに、日本のデザインの奥深さとおおらかさを感じ、インスピレーションを得てデザインしました。

A Quiet Strength Inspired by Water and Tradition

 This design is based on Izutsu-mon, a traditional Japanese family crest that features a stylized well frame.

An izutsu refers to the wooden structure built above a well — a site that, in ancient Japan, was often seen as sacred. Places where water springs forth were thought to be the dwelling place of spirits and deities.

Wells were also essential to daily life, and the character for "well" (井) became a part of many names and place names across Japan.

The fact that even something as humble as a wooden well frame could become a family crest speaks to the depth and creativity of Japanese design.

This produc was inspired by that idea — a quiet yet powerful symbol rooted in everyday life and spiritual tradition.
